Ms. Ikra Manzoor has completed her B.Sc. Horticulture (Hons.) degree from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir in 2018. She did her M. Sc. Horticulture (Fruit Science) from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir in 2021. She was a merit scholarship holder during both the degree programs. Currently she is pursuing her Ph. D. in Fruit Science from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir.She was shortlisted for zonal level evaluation for Agri-Hackethon of ICAR in 2020 for the technological innovative idea in the field of horticulture.She has qualified ASRB-NET (National Eligibility Test) & ASRB-ARS (Mains) in the discipline of Fruit Science in UR category in 2021.She has also published abstracts on diverse topics related to horticulture in various National & International seminars and symposiums.She has also contributed as an author for several book chapters published in Taylor & Francis. She has also won the best poster presentation award at the 9th Indian Horticulture Congress in 2021.She was selected for the award of Prime Minister’s Doctorate Fellowship in 2022.She has authored a book in the field of Horticulture in 2022.Presently,she published various papers in highly reputed journals like Frontiers in  Plant Science with NAAS rating (12.63) & IF (6.627), Journal of Integrative Agriculture  IF (4.8) and Journal of Environmental Chemical Engineering IF (7.3) from the 2023 to 2024.She has also received Young Researcher Award in the “International Conference on  New Generation Horticulture for Prosperity” organized by Orrisa Horticultural Society, College of Agriculture,OUAT,Bhubaneswar-Odhisa,India in 2023. She has published a book in the field of Tissue Culture in the year 2024.

 Dr. Shabir Hussain Wani Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) cum Scientist, Genetics and Plant Breeding at Mountain Research Centre for Field Crops, Khudwani, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Srinagar J&K, India. He has published more than 200 papers/chapters in journals and books ofinternational and national repute. He served as guest editor and reviews editor for the Journal Frontier in Plant Science (2015-2018). Presently he is also serving as Associate Editor for PCTOC, Springer and reviews editor for Frontiers in Plant Science, section Abiotic Stress in Plants. He has also edited several books on current topics in crop improvement for abiotic stress tolerance published bySpringer Nature and CRC press USA. He was elected as Fellow of Linnean Society of London 2017. Recently he was felicitated with Award for Excellence in Research 2020 from Novel Research Academy, Puducherry, India. Recently Dr. Wani was selected as member of Expert Working Group (EWG) Wheat Initiative for Adaptation of Wheat to Abiotic Stress (AWAS), and Wheat Breeding Methods and Strategies (WBMS), Berlin, Germany during January 2021 and 2022 respectively. He has been judged as Fellow of International Society for development and Sustainability ISDS, Japan. Recently, he was also selected as member, The Royal Society of Biology, London, UK. Dr Wani was selected as Member, National Agricultural Sciences India (NASI), 2022.
