Welcome  to  the  first  volume  of  "Glimpses  of  PGR,"  a  collection  that encapsulates the essence and evolution of the PGR community. This anthology brings together a diverse range of works that highlight the creativity, insights, and unique perspectives of its members.

Over  the  years,  the  PGR  community  has  blossomed  into  a  vibrant hub  of  intellectual  exchange  and  artistic  expression.  Our  members, hailing  from  various backgrounds and disciplines, contribute to a rich tapestry of thoughts and ideas. This volume is a testament to their dedication and talent.

In  compiling  this  volume,  our  aim  was  to  capture  the  spirit  of  PGR—its commitment  to  fostering  innovation,  its  celebration  of  diverse  voices,  and its unwavering  pursuit  of excellence. Each piece in this collection has been carefully selected to reflect these core values. From thought-provoking essays to imaginative short stories, from poignant poems to ground-breaking research, the works presented here offer a glimpse into the dynamic world of PGR.

S.  Prabakaran:  has  done  his  B.Sc.  (Agri.)  from TNAU sub-campus at Trichy. He studied his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. His area of specialisation was Plant Genetic Resources. In 2015, he received ICAR-JRF 22nd rank in plant sciences and secured merit fellowship. In 2017, he secured 1st rank IARI entrance exam and secured IARI merit fellowship for Ph.D. program. He also qualified Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) – National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2017. He has qualified UGC-SRF and lectureship in Environmental sciences in 2019. Currently, he is teaching agriculture optional to civil service aspirants at Chennai.

A.  Krishnamoorthi:  I  did  my BSc  Agriculture  (2012-16) from VIA Agriculutre  College Affiliated  to TNAU  and  I  did my  MSc Agriculture in Plant geneticr esource (2108-20)  from TNAU and I am written 10 book chapters 2 research article and 10 review articles I cleared my ICAR SRF Examination with Rank 4 in the Discipline of Economic Botany and Plant Genetic Resources. Now I am pursuing my PhD  at the ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resourrces IARI Pusa Campus New Delhi.
