This book is dedicated to field veterinarians, livestock workers, and all professionals involved in animal husbandry, offering them a clear understanding of the diverse applications and benefits of the Bharat Pashudhan App. As India’s livestock sector rapidly digitalizes, this app stands out as a game-changing platform designed to integrate traditional animal husbandry with modern technology.
The Bharat Pashudhan App enables field-level staff and veterinarians to digitally record essential livestock information, including vaccinations, artificial inseminations, fresh animal registrations, ownership transfers, disease reports, e-prescriptions, and milk records. With more than 15.5 crore entries already uploaded and nearly 16 lakh entries added every day, the app has become one of the largest digital livestock databases in the world.
By offering intuitive features and real-time data accessibility, the app serves as a one-stop digital companion for farmers, veterinarians, breeders, and all stakeholders in the livestock value chain. It enhances transparency, improves productivity, supports decision-making, and strengthens animal welfare systems across India.
India’s livestock sector is a pillar of rural livelihood, economic resilience, and national food security. In this context, the Bharat Pashudhan App represents a revolutionary leap forward, empowering farmers with technology and ensuring seamless livestock management across states.
This book explains the various applications, workflows, and field-level usability of the app, making it an essential guide for practitioners, trainers, students, and policymakers working toward a modernized and sustainable livestock ecosystem.
