  • The book throws insights on the concepts of origin and domestication of spice crops. There are elaborative description regarding different modes of reproduction of plants along with crop specific techniques regarding emasculation and pollination techniques. Conventional plant breeding methods has categorically been explained as these concepts would help spice breeders to choose the appropriate breeding tool.

    Md. Nasim Ali is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidayalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal.

    Syandan Sinha Ray is working at IRDM Faculty centre of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute. As part of teaching, he teaches several aspects of Agricultural Biotechnology i.e. Plant tissue culture, Genetic engineering and Molecular tools and technique at Post Graduate level.
