Stephen Soren is an accomplished academic and professional in Animal Nutrition, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Nutrition at West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) in Kolkata-700037. He completed his Master's degree (M.V.Sc) in Animal Nutrition in 2007 and thereafter joined the Directorate of Animal Resources and Animal Health under the Government of West Bengal as a Veterinary Officer, where he served with distinction for nearly 8 years. Dr. Soren's passion for teaching and research led him to join WBUAFS in 2018 as an Assistant Professor, where he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in animal nutrition.
He completed his PhD in 2024 from WBUAFS and has authored two books titled "Fodder Production and Principles of Animal Nutrition" and “Rabbit Farming”. Additionally, he has published 18 research articles in international and national journals and authored 6 book chapters. Dr. Soren is a life member of professional societies like ANA, ANSI, and APH, and has been honored with the "BHARAT GAURAV PURASKAR" for his outstanding achievements and remarkable contributions in the field of Animal Nutrition by the KTK Outstanding Achievers and Education Foundation, New Delhi.
