Gagan Matta is a renowned environmental scientist and academician with over 18 years of research experience and 14 years of teaching. He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar, India, where he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology and Environmental Science. Specializing in water quality indexing, limnology, aquatic ecology, toxicology, and environmental pollution, Dr. Matta's research spans hydrology, green audits, and environmental communication. He has authored six books, edited 18, published over 90 journal articles, and contributed 18 book chapters. His work has earned 14 research grants and seven copyrights. Dr. Matta has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the "Scientist of the Year Award – 2023." He has mentored 8 Ph.D. candidates and 31 M.Sc. dissertations while contributing to developing academic programs and environmental policies.
