Veterinary Osteology: A Comparative Study is a comprehensive and meticulously illustrated reference that explores the skeletal anatomy of ox and other domestic animals through a comparative lens. Designed for veterinary students, educators, and practitioners, the book provides a detailed understanding of the bones and skeletal structures that form the anatomical foundation of animal bodies.

Organized by anatomical regions, the book covers the axial skeleton (skull, vertebral column, ribs, and sternum) and appendicular skeleton (limbs and girdles) across a wide range of species, including:

  • Bovine (cattle)
  • Equine (horse)
  • Canine (dog)
  • Porcine (pig)
  • Avian species (such as chickens)

Each chapter presents a side-by-side analysis of homologous bones, highlighting species-specific differences in shape, orientation, function, and clinical significance. Special attention is given to diagrammatic representation of each and every bone by well labelled photographs of each species.
