Ergonomics for Sustainable Work Systems provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles and applications of ergonomics in modern workplaces and everyday life. The book explores the interaction between humans, tools, technology, and work environments, emphasizing the design of systems that enhance safety, comfort, health, and productivity.
Covering key topics such as human factors, biomechanics, workplace and equipment design, ergonomic risk assessment, occupational safety, cognitive ergonomics, and sustainable work practices, the book integrates theoretical foundations with practical examples and case studies. Special attention is given to human-centered design approaches that promote worker well-being while supporting organizational efficiency and sustainability.
Designed for students, researchers, educators, and practitioners, this book serves as a valuable resource for understanding how ergonomic principles can be applied to create safer, healthier, and more productive work systems in an increasingly technology-driven world.
