Dr. Adyant Kumar is working as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist in Department of Agronomy, Dr. Kalam Agricultural College, (Bihar Agricultural University), Kishanganj, Bihar. He had completed his Doctorate and Master degree in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy from BCKV, West Bengal and RAU, Pusa (Bihar), respectively. He is the recipient of Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Award for Outstanding Research in Tribal Farming Systems, 2021 given by ICAR under MoA&FW, GoI. He is also awarded with various awards & accolades viz. Best Oral Presentation, Best Thesis, Young Scientist and Young Achiever award as well as Valued Reviewer from Springer Nature etc. He performed as the Co-PI in the project “Study of Millets production and consumption pattern in last 20 years in Jharkhand” sanctioned by DRDM Tribal Welfare Research Institute, Ranchi. He had also contributed as a Mentor under the GOAL (Going Online as Leaders) Program for the year 2020-21 which was organized by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India in collaboration with Meta (Facebook). He is the Lifetime Member in Indian Society of Agronomy, and Crop and Weed Science Society as well as in the Board of Advisors of NAVADRISHTI, Ranchi, Jharkhand. He has guided six M.Sc. students during his teaching period. He had written about 22 Research articles, 01 Review articles, 02 Book, 01 Souvenir, 05 Book chapters and 11 Popular articles in English and regional language for the academician, researcher, students and farming communities.
Dr. Sudhanand Prasad Lal is currently an Assistant Professor cum Scientist, Department of Extension Education, PG College of Agriculture, RPCAU, Pusa, MoA&FW, Govt. of India. He pursued his B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) from CSA University, Kanpur in 2012 and received Chancellor's gold medallist. He did his MSc from, ICAR- National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal-132001, (Haryana) in 2014 & was awarded merit certificate in Social Science & Management group. He did his Ph.D. Agricultural Extension Education on 12th March 2018 and received Ph.D. best thesis Director's Gold medal at ICAR-NDRI, Karnal from Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi. He is the recipient of NTS in B.Sc., JRF in M.Sc., and SRF in Ph.D. He is the recipient of Certificate of Excellence Award from Elsevier Researcher Academy, Amsterdam, Netherlands. He has written 40 Research articles, 01 Review articles, 02 Short communication, 03 Books, 06 Book chapters and 20 popular articles. He was invited as an expert by 'The Times Higher Education Academic Reputation Survey in partnership with Elsevier for the 2019 Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and the 2019 World University Rankings, supported by UNICEF. Dr. Lal has received citations from DRDO, IIT-Delhi, CAB Direct and FAO.
Dr. Milind B. Katare, Ph.D. (Aquaculture) is presently working as Subject Matter Specialist (Fisheries) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, East Garo Hills-794111 Meghalaya under the administrative control of Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur. He pursued his B.F.Sc. (Bachelor of Fishery Science) from College of Fishery Science, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur and followed by M.F.Sc. (Master of Fishery Science) in Aquaculture from College of Fisheries, Mangalore under Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, Bidar. He has completed the Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Aquaculture from ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai, Maharashtra. His publications reflected in the library of FAO-AGRIS of the United Nations and ICAR, New Delhi, especially in the area of fish endocrinology, physiology, genetics and breeding. He has honoured with several awards viz., Young Scientist, Best KVK Scientist and Excellence in Extension Scientist Award etc. He is member of the Board of Studies for Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha-761211, INDIA (Established Vide Orissa Act 4 of 2010). He is presently acting as a Valued Reviewer for esteemed Springer and Elsevier journals.
Dr. Reena Kumari is working as Assistant Professor from last eight years in Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, Gujarat. She has done her doctorate and master degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in soil and water conservation engineering from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She is working on conservation agriculture and recommended three technologies related to conservation agriculture for farming community of southern Gujarat. She is member of many reputed societies and published more than 25 research papers in national and international journals. She has written 12 book chapters and 5 popular articles in English and regional language for the academician, researcher, students and farming communities. She has received Young Scientist award, Women Scientist award, Best Poster Presentation award by the different reputed societies. She is Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator of different University Research Projects. She has participated and presented her work in different international and national conference organized by reputed institutes and Societies. She has also co-organized 4 workshop cum training programmes for students, researchers, academicians and farmers.
Dr. Pratibha Kumari did her Doctorate and Master’s degree in soil science and agriculture chemistry with specialization in soil fertility from Banaras Hindu University Varanasi. She has good knowledge about the conservation agriculture for natural resource management. She is passionate to empower the farmers with latest cutting edge technology by transferring her research experience from lab to field. She worked in International Rice Research Institute Bihar hub as Specialist Agriculture Research & Development for almost 5 years. During work at International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) as a team member worked to developed web-based platform (Crop Manager for Rice based System) for field-specific information on crop and nutrient management to increase yields and income of rice farmers. She has published more than 15 research papers in national and international journals. She is awarded as young scientist and excellence in research award by the reputed institutes and Societies of India. She is writer of many book chapters, book and essential literature for the academicians, researchers, scientists, students and farming community in international, national and regional language. Dr. Pratibha is active on various platform including Radio talk, Kisan Mela, Kisan Gostthi, Cooperative society to spread the awareness and educate farmers about the latest trends and efficient farming practices. She shares her experience in trainings, workshops and conferences organised by International and national Institute.
Dr. D.K. Jayswal, is Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist, Department of Horticulture (Fruit & Fruit Technology), Bihar Agricultural College, (Bihar Agricultural University), Bhagalpur, Bihar. He had completed his Doctorate and Master degree in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture – Fruit Science from JNKVV, Jabalpur (M.P.) in 2014 and 2017 subsequently. He has significantly contributed to standardizing the severity of pruning and developed combination of organic, inorganic and bio-fertilizer as INM for improving the growth, yield and quality of guava fruit during his Ph.D. degree programme. He is recipient of several awards and certificates in which some of explicit awards are Young Scientist Award by the Society of Tropical Agriculture, Dr. N.C. Gautam Best Ph.D. Thesis Award in Horticulture – 2017 by the Society for Horticultural Research and Development, Ghaziabad, Professional Excellence Award by the Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists (Jharkhand Chapter), Research Excellence Award-2020 by the Institute of Scholars, Bangalore etc. He has participated in the cultural activities and got 2nd Prize in Debate and 3rd Prize in One Act Play in Agri-unifest. He has published 18 Research and Review articles in NAAS rated peer-reviewed journals, 03 Book chapters, 06 popular articles and more than 10 abstract in the souvenirs. He is the Life Member of Society for Horticultural Research and Development, The Indian Science Congress Association and Indian Society for Arid Horticulture. He has good academic excellence having first rank merit certificate awardee for his Master degree programme at University level. He organized 5 trainings, 4 workshops and 2 International symposiums etc. He has attended 4 trainings, 2 workshops and 14 seminar/ symposium/ conferences etc.
Dr. Kumari Rashmi started her early career in the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics at Bihar Agricultural College, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur in 2012 as Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist and worked extensively on speciality Corn breeding and heat stress tolerance in Maize in the state of Bihar. She has dedicated more than eight years of career to agricultural teaching, research, extension, training and administration. She has experience of handling 5 projects including international collaborations. She has handled a USAID funded international project on Heat Stress Tolerant Maize based on Genomic Selection as Co-PI. She also had handled various University funded projects on Speciality Corn breeding and Maintenance Breeding as PI. She has guided 5 M.Sc. students and 1 Ph.D. student as Major advisor. She also has trained several Master’s and Ph.D. students in Maize Breeding. She has published more than 30 research papers, 45 abstracts published in proceedings and souvenir, 13 pamphlets as well as edited and contributed to more than 4 books and 2 book chapters. She has contributed in development of a short duration variety of maize for kharif season released from CVRC. She is also the Life Member of Indian Society for Genetics and Plant Breeding (2012), Society for Scientific Development in Agriculture & Technology, Meerut (U.P.) India (2012) and Society for Agriculture Innovation and Development (SAID), Ranchi, Jharkhand, India (2017). She was conferred with Young Scientist Award (2013, 2014 & 2015), Fellowship Award (2014) from Society for scientific development in Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, UP, India. She was conferred with Young Scientist Award (2017) in International Conference-Global Meet on Science and Technology for Ensuring Quality Life (GMST-2017), Kualalampur, Malaysia from Hi-Tech Horticultural Society Prerna Foundation. She was conferred with Young Teacher Award (2017) and Young Scientist Award (2017) in International Conference- Agriculture & Applied Sciences for Food Security (AAPS-2017), Kathmandu, Nepal.
